About Michael David

Born and raised in New York City, and bitten early by the theater bug, Michael David has been designing, building, and painting scenery, props, and miniatures since his early teens. He moved to Chicago to study Scenic Design at DePaul University's renowned Theatre School, graduating in 2014.

He returned to his hometown and has worked on scenic art crews on numerous film and television projects including Only Murders in The Building, Escape from Dannemora, Dietland, On The Rocks, False Positive, and She Said. He has worked as a fabricator and installer for clients like Tiffany & Co., Club Monaco, Ralph Lauren, and Lord & Taylor. He has also served as production designs for short form, feature films and music videos, as well as promotional and branded content for major brands. In 2023, his first feature film as production designer, HERD released in select theaters and on all major VOD providers.
